Strange but True - Reflection?

Wanted to go to Duke Island Park yesterday morning (6/27/2009 around 7 am), but when I got there the gate was still closed. So I decided to go to the reconstructed overpass. Parked on the side with camera in hand and crossed the street. Walked down to the water and started to shoot (photos). All of a sudden I heard alot of splashing, and saw a bunch of carp making that comotion. I always am looking for a good out of water shot of a fish, so this was the perfect attempt for that. Never really got what I was looking for, but as I was relooking at the splashes I saw this image (head shot) of a man. Could it be a play of light? The splash could have been only an inch or two at the most.

Sourland Mountain Preserve - A View

Visited the Sourland Mountain Preserve yesterday June 15th 2009. I am also working with HDR's (High Dymamic Range) photographs, which are really neat looking.

Did You Catch the Waves?

After another rain in May the water at the Park (Duke Island) was simply amazing. In this photograph you are actually looking at the back swells over the submerged falls. Have more photos, but am still figuring out how to add them.

Duke Island Park

A park for everyone and photographers also. If you like walking, jogging, running, bicycling, viewing, drawing, painting, fishing, and picnics/lunch (bring your own) then you found the Park.

Keep Green and obey the rules.

Photograph to the right was taken by the falls towards the back of the park. Olympus EVolt 500.

Love to hear your stories about the park. I have been frequenting since 2005.
